CNY Central: Syracuse man references Rhode Island hockey arena shooting in threats to former coach
A Syracuse man was arrested after threatening his former hockey coach. That’s according to an extreme risk protection order (ERPO) filed in Onondaga County Court. An ERPO, when granted, allows law enforcement to seize weapons of an individual deemed to be a danger to themselves or others.
The ERPO accuses Scott P. Lewis, 36, of threatening West Genesee High School Hockey Coach Frank Colabufo through email. It said that he sent a “number of emails” and showed up at the hockey arena on more than one occasion and threatened Coach Colabufo.
